Clever - Diligent - Genuine - Resourceful

    It's no mystery that Artemis prides herself in her higher-than-average intellect. She's used to being the "academic prodigy" of her family and it's not just a fanciful title that gets thrown around either. She's proven it through her own research and work that she's quick to pick up new ideas and is capable of performing outside of the box. Give her any kind of challenge and she'll figure out how to solve it with the tools at her disposal. On top of being a hard worker at that! Artemis isn't one to slack off or push off responsibility onto other people.

 

    She's rarely ever seen not putting all of her effort into something and if she is, it's mainly because her heart's not entirely in it. Which, she won't try to hide that. She'll tell it like it is. At least she's honest. Regardless, she's seen as a great asset in many situations because of this. Her genuine nature carries over from her work into how she handles people on a personal level as well. It's easier for her to be honest with herself and other people than to try and beat around the bush or save face. At the very least, Artemis is someone you can count on to always be sincere with you even if the truth will hurt.

    Growing up on a farm has its perks. Artemis isn't one to shy away from what's considered dirty work and actually engages in it pretty frequently. She doesn't necessarily care if it's seen as unorthodox or inconvenient. She has a method to her madness and as long as she produces results then does it really matter how she got there? The same behavior applies to risk-taking. She won't back down from a challenge. The more challenging it is, the more determined she'll get to overcome.

 

    Though her motivation may shift from a desire to succeed to something pettier just to prove a point. This goes hand in hand with her naturally curious attitude. She's constantly on the prowl to learn new things and experience as much as possible. There's just so much to the world that she has yet to see and do. She wants to know all of it. She'll absorb as much information as her brain will let her. On another note, she's also a difficult one to rile up. Artemis is actually very disciplined in restraining her body language/facial expressions. There's a certain methodical and monotonous nature to her that often causes people to become startled when she partakes in something so out of character for that. This doesn't mean she doesn't get upset or anything; she simply doesn't emote it.

Abrupt - Impulsive - Stubborn - Tactless

    Let's just say Artemis isn't the best at making friends nor is she well-versed in large social gatherings where you have to rely on your charisma to get you through things. She's very clear-cut and dry. She says what she means and then it's done. No room for additional conversation or discussion. Artemis is accidentally very short with a lot of people, making her seem both impatient and rude⁠— this is not the case. She's not even entirely aware that she behaves like that. It's easy to think Artemis dislikes someone or just people in general and assume that she'd rather be left alone despite that not being entirely true.

 

    Artemis has a one-track mind and it's very easy for her to fixate on what she's doing at the time. She hates being interrupted so she makes sure there's no chance of interruption. Her impulsive tendencies only add fuel to this fire. She won't budge from things even if it was a dumb split-second decision. Artemis has to see it through to the end otherwise her entire rhythm will be thrown off its track and she'll need about a week to recover. This applies to both her actions and her beliefs. Arguing with her is sometimes like arguing with a brick wall. That's not to say that she isn't open to others⁠— she's just very fixed on what she believes. If it's something that she's not as invested in her version of the truth for it then it's no big deal. She doesn't mean to upset anyone with the things she does or says, Artemis just struggles with the social awareness of certain things besides the obvious. She's trying to get better with it though it's something she has accepted that will never change about her. People will just have to adapt to her rather than the other way around.
