From now on, everything I speak in red is the truth. There is no need to doubt or question it.

General

Truths

  • Lancelot Evergreen is the twin brother of Leonardo Evergreen and suffered from the same terminal illness as his sister, Lynette.
     

  • Lancelot Evergreen is the man behind the infamous serial killings known as the Card Suit Murders, which targeted specifically twins and the like.

Chapter 1

❯ Creation

  • Lancelot Evergreen is deceased. Lancelot died 25 years prior to the present day.
     

  • The deceased Lancelot is not hiding within the forest. The entity encountered in the Forest is not Lancelot Evergreen.
     

  • Even if the mind forgets the events that transpired, the heart will remember. No matter how long it takes, everyone will return.
     

  • THE STORYTELLER EXISTS.

A Red Truth is a statement presented as fact without need to refute nor deny it. However, while undeniable, a Red Truth may have multiple interpretations.

Golden Hypothesis

A Golden Hypothesis is a statement presented as an attempt to explain the mysteries surrounding October 31st, xx25.
These theories have the potential to be refuted, and can also be destroyed by a Red Truth.

Chapter 0

❯ Endless

  • Lynette Evergreen has been hosting extravagant parties for 25 years.

  • The first party was originally a plan to lure out and capture Lancelot Evergreen.

  • The first party was planned to take place on December 25th, xx01.

  • A woman who worked as the Manor’s Caretaker went missing during the first Evergreen party after being kidnapped by Lancelot Evergreen. She has not been seen since.

  • Lancelot Evergreen has not been seen since disappearing into the Forest during the first Evergreen party.
     

  • On October 31st, xx10— Velanna Evergreen received sponsorship for The Infinity Organization from several worldwide companies such as Erebos Inc., and Komorebi.

  • The Infinity Organization is a nonprofit organization that focuses on medical technology in hopes of improving the quality of life as well as life expectancy.

  • On November 6th, xx25— The site of the famous Evergreen gatherings was reported to be decimated as if destroyed by some sort of bomb.

  • The only items to be recovered from the destruction were four peculiar masks; each was decorated with a single card suit (hearts, diamonds, spades, and clubs).

  • The four masks belong to a group of serial killers that enacted the Card Suit Murders.

  • The first party occurred on November 1st, xx00.

  • Cordelia Evergreen was kidnapped into the Forest by Lancelot Evergreen, during the first Evergreen party. While Cordelia was rescued, the woman who went after them (the Manor’s Caretaker) had gone missing and hasn’t been seen since.

  • Everyone present has been invited to participate in The Infinity Project, which is being hosted at the Evergreen Estate.

  • Everything begins at the boarding dock to the S.S. Charon at the end of October in Year xx25.

  • This is the final gathering hosted at the Evergreen Estate, due to Lynette’s declining health.

  • The gathering proceeds as normally until the evening of October 30th— where the guests are confronted by a Witch.

  • The tarped portrait in the Gallery is a painting of the Endless Witch, Eir.

  • The Forest is volatile and dangerous. It is home to featureless gray figures that seem to be drawn to life.

  • A stark white chapel is located within the Forest, overgrown with moss and vines.

  • The Sanctuary beyond the Rose Maze is immune to all forms of magic.

  • Everyone is already dead. The island is a form of Limbo for all of them.

  • The Witch known as Eir is an entity composed of four consciousnesses which are further separated into card suits: Hearts, Clubs, Spades, and Diamonds.

    • Hearts went by the name of Calliope.

    • Clubs went by the name of Arden.

    • Spades went by the name of Percival.

    • Diamonds went by the name of Abel.

  • Lancelot Evergreen is the source of The Corruption.

  • The tarped portrait in the Gallery is a painting of the Witch of Creation, Anima.

  • The tarped portrait in the Gallery is a painting of the immediate Evergreen Family.

  • There are two parallel game boards. One is where the truest self remains in protection.

  • The Masked Figures are the keys to the truth behind The Corruption.

  • The Forest molds itself to what is perceived as the truth. Reality is malleable.

  • It is possible to leave the Evergreen Estate and return to your normal life.

  • The Corruption can replicate the forms and faces of the guests, assuming their identity.

  • Entropic Imitation Reality, E.I.R., is a terminal illness afflicting certain Evergreens.

  • The Infinity Project, started by Velanna Evergreen, is an attempt to preserve the minds of people who have died.

  • Cain Lumina and a companion broke into an abandoned facility belonging to The Infinity Project and inserted themselves into it.

  • The Corruption prevents The Infinity Project from shutting down.
