      Few would be surprised, at least upon initial meeting, to find out that Caspian is a librarian. Cass is overall an approachable and kind person; They approach most people with a sort of polite, lightly formal demeanor that one might expect from a coworker or other casual but familiar acquaintance. They certainly tend to be on the quieter side -- Though they are by no means afraid to speak their mind -- but still make efforts to come across as welcoming and helpful to others.

Beyond this surface-level type of relationship, these elements are certainly still present, but -- As with all people -- there is more to them than is initially apparent. Caspian is actually pretty aloof and can get lost in their own thoughts at times. They’re very reserved when it comes to details about themself and prefer to rely more on their own knowledge rather than trusting others, though they’re aware this is a fault, and dire situations may push them to reach out to others. Otherwise, it takes a while for them to be able to open up to people beyond their usual polite friendliness.

Their sense of humor is a bit sarcastic, which can contribute to their distance from others if this isn’t matched. They can even be mischievous in the right situation, both in a lighter sense -- Such as good-natured teasing -- and in the sense of causing trouble. They’re above pranks, but this doesn’t mean they won’t break a rule they disagree with. They also are clearly very passionate and not easily deterred when they’ve set their mind to something.

Caspian does have a reputation for being short-tempered and easily annoyed, having not much patience for others; While therapy in their youth has helped them learn to keep this majorly under control, leading more to a wave of calm anger than anything explosive, they are still quite touchy about certain subjects. As lightly implied earlier, they are otherwise still rather confrontational as well as stubborn, and as such get into arguments often. Their distrustful nature means they can also be surprisingly selfish at times, as they prioritize themself and their sister, Viola, above all else. While they help people when they can, they also won’t hesitate to put their own desires above others. This part of them, especially, is expected to show itself, considering they’ve gone into this year’s Evergreens gathering with the explicit intention of winning money to help Viola.
