    ↳  If ‘optimistic nihilist’ was a person, Keigo wouldn’t be the poster child but he would certainly like to think of himself as one. He’s surrendered himself to the absurdity of existence and whether that be through false bravery or sheer stupidity, he’s determined to contemplate life as critically as he would a piece of chewed-up gum scraped off the bottom of his shoe. Keigo is peacefully resigned to his fate and just wants to chill. His charming verbosity and quick-witted quips often come out when he’s looking to skirt the truth or just avoid responsibility, though he’ll also butter you up and shamelessly flirt too. Although he pretends not to care, his constant vigilance of both himself and others is a deliberate control set to temper expectations and allow him an easy slide through life.

    ↳  Keigo learned from an early age that talk was cheap, and he was very, very good at it. Each meaningless word out of his mouth is just another way to avoid saying what he really means, and he wraps it all up in a nice bow of sarcasm and aloof disinterest. His mannerisms tend towards indifference, informality, and frequently joking rudeness, more often meant to annoy others for his own shit-stirring amusement than to inspire any deeper friendship. Keigo is deathly allergic to monotonicity and will readily commit at great lengths to any senseless bits just for the hell of it. Please do not encourage him.

    ↳  Whether charismatic jerk or simply defiant dickhead, Keigo very consciously goes against his better judgment, citing ‘because I can’ as his infinitely wise reasoning for brazen stupidity. He prefers to shove his emotions under the cage of ‘apathetic cool guy’ and would happily claim he belongs in a landfill while grieving his inability to change the very things that tear him apart. He’s a cagey stubborn fuck, he’s quick to rely on shallow jokes to divert attention from his shortcomings and he would sooner bite through his ankle than ask for help unlocking the bear trap. Keigo fancies himself a nonconformist kind of guy and readily transgresses the sanctity of authority as often as he stubbornly holds up his own arbitrary ideals. He’s also an asshole and lies sometimes, but at least he tries to be funny about it.
